Bill Kops and John LaBrie will lead a group planning session for WASSA’s upcoming strategic plan. Our objectives are to begin identification of goals and aspirations of the group, while also looking at a listing of strengths and weaknesses of the organization. The data from the workshop will inform the process in a concrete fashion as WASSA moves forward with its strategic planning. Come with your ideas, opinions and an open mind. Now is your chance to participate in shaping WASSA into a more active, useful, intentional professional association.

Are you a list maker? A goal setter? A compulsive filer? Or, do people like that drive you crazy? Is your desk organized and clean, or are there papers everywhere? When you get to work on Monday morning, do you chat about your weekend with coworkers, or do you close the door of your office right away and begin tackling your to-do list?

Different working styles can present problems within any creative group. At the same time, they can compliment each other and enhance the group’s productivity. Knowing your personality type, and that of your coworkers, can go a long way toward promoting a creative, cohesive work group. The Colors of Success, developed by Mary Robinson Reynolds, is a quick, fun way to gain insight into your working style and that of your coworkers. This is a great activity for a staff meeting or retreat. The results can help your team work together productively for years.
